Qualified to master’s level and a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, I have decades of commercial experience in editing, proofreading and copywriting for individual authors, publishers, academic publications and businesses.
My legal background gives me a unique eye for detail and minutiae, and a distinct advantage when editing crime fiction and legal drama. I am particularly keen to work with authors of science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, suspense, crime/legal drama, mystery, horror and supernatural, and modern fiction. I also provide legal and academic editorial services.

I believe in working together, collaboratively and objectively, to produce the best possible result. This means engaging in an ongoing conversation as the work progresses, with the aim of achieving the outcome you desire, and not simply sending back a corrected document with some cold notes and alterations. Editing is a partnership and I approach each piece of work as if it were my own endeavour.
